Providence Man Charged With Sexual Assault

Frider Guarchaj, 32, of 53 Penn Street, Apt. 1 in Providence, was arrested June 13 at 7:30 a.m. on charges of domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct, along with a felony charge of first degree domestic sexual assault.

Guarchaj allegedly sexually assaulted a woman at her apartment. According to the victim, Guarchaj come into the apartment and grabbed her by the throat, then pushed her into the bedroom where he allegedly forced himself upon her. According to reports, the woman grabbed a wine glass and threatened to hit him with it, but he reportedly grabbed it out of her hands and left the apartment. When police arrived, they allegedly saw that the victim had scratch marks on her neck and also found a condom wrapper on the window sill of the bedroom.

He is scheduled for arraignment in Third District Court on July 17.

Woonsocket Students Busted at Prom

Ian Bousquet, 18, of 1179 Manville Road in Woonsocket, was arrested June 14 at 11:29 p.m. on charges of possession of an alcoholic beverage by an underage person. Also arrested that night was Tyler J. Bourke, 18, of 185 Burrington St. in Woonsocket, on felony charges of intent to sell marijuana.

According to reports, a limousine driver found a bottle of rum in a backpack (which belonged to Bousquet) and two marijuana blunts in his car after driving a group of Woonsocket High School students to their prom at Quidnessett Country Club. During their investigation, officers allegedly found out that more marijuana had been given to the night’s DJ by Bourk for safekeeping. While at headquarters, Bourk allegedly told officers he was planning to sell the marijuana — at $20 per gram, he allegedly said — at his prom that night.

Dennis Warner Ricci, 44, of 20 Forestwood Drive in Smithfield, was arrested June 11 at 5:34 p.m. on charges of driving with a suspended license. He is scheduled for arraignment in Third District Court on June 26.

Justin A. Iaciofano, 25, of 52 Asqah Drive in North Kingstown, was arrested June 12 at 4:10 p.m. following a bench warrant for his arrest.

Perfecto Orosco, 39, of 620 Devils Foot Road, Apt. 1 in North Kingstown, was arrested June 13 at 9:28 p.m. following a bench warrant for his arrest.

Christopher David Robbins, 30, of 75 Union Drive, Apt. D102 in North Kingstown, was arrested June 14 at 9:20 a.m. following a bench warrant for his arrest.

Levi Alexander Wallace, 19, of 109 Chadsey Road in North Kingstown, was arrested June 14 at 9:08 p.m. following a bench warrant for his arrest.

Paul Allen Whitcomb Jr., 19, of 529 Douglas Pike in North Smithfield, was arrested June 15 at 9:15 a.m. on charges of reckless driving. He is scheduled for arraignment in Third District Court on July 3.

Nancy Marie Hamilton, 23, of 6101 Post Road, Apt. 23 in North Kingstown, was arrested June 16 at 2 p.m. following a warrant for her arrest. 

James M. Garcia, 25, of 653 Smith Street, Apt. 1 in Providence, was arrested June 16 at 4:15 p.m. on charges of driving with a suspended license. He is scheduled for arraignment in Third District Court on July 3.

Jill Smith, 28, of 653 Smith St. in Providence, was arrested June 16 at 4:30 p.m. following a warrant for her arrest.

Barbara Flaherty, 48, of 90 South Hill Drive in Cranston, was arrested June 17 at 4:25 p.m. on charges of driving with a suspended license.

Patricia Marie Joyce, 58, of 230 Chestnut Drive in East Greenwich, was arrested June 17 at 5:30 p.m. on charges of driving with a suspended license. She is scheduled for arraignment in Third District Court on July 3.
