NK Police To Promote Two Officers
Two NK officers will be moving up in the ranks tonight.

Two North Kingstown police officers will be moving up in the ranks this evening.
Lieutenant Anthony Favre, 31, will and Sergeant Joel Mulligan, 41, will both be promoted during a swearing-in ceremony tonight at 6 p.m. at the as the department restructures itself following the Last month, as the department's new chief.
Favre, a North Kingstown resident and eight-year veteran of the North Kingstown Police Department, will be promoted as the uniform division’s patrol commander after serving as a supervisor in “B” Squad since August 2009. In 2003, Favre received a division commendation after a motor vehicle stop that resulted in the arrest of two individuals for felony drug offenses.

Mulligan, a twelve-year veteran of the department and Lincoln resident, will take over as a patrol supervisor after serving as a detective with the department since March 2008. In 2003, Mulligan received a division commendation for talking a suicidal person down from the Jamestown Bridge.
The department also announced the transfer of two officers (Officer Nick Ambrosino, 38, and Lieutenant Christopher Emerson, 42) into the detective division.

Ambrosino, a four-year member of the NKPD, was a member of the departments’ accident reconstruction team. Emerson, a 20-year veteran of the department, has received several commendations during his tenure and is currently pursuing a masters degree in criminal justice.
