NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — The North Kingstown School District is testing its schools for mold after traces were found in the air at one school.
Quidnessett Elementary School was recently treated after traces of mold were discovered in the air. Superintendent Phil Auger said the mold was caused by the recent humidity.

The rest of the schools are being tested by Vortex Inc. Wednesday with results expected later that night.
We do not anticipate any issues with the testing in this section as the original report showed no air quality issues at the time the original problem was discovered," Auger said. "However, we will wait to see the results from Vortex on Wednesday afternoon before access to the building is allowed."
