Obituary: F. James Wendelschaefer, NKFD (Ret.)

F. James Wendelschaefer, NKFD, (Ret.), 72, of Saunderstown, passed away February 9, 2015.

He was the beloved husband of Ruth L. (Lorenson) Wendelschaefer.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Felix R. and Elsie (Eatock) Wendelschaefer. Mr. Wendelschaefer had been a firefighter for the North Kingstown Fire Department, had been the owner and operator of the former West Bay Paint and Wallpaper in Wakefield and had worked at several restaurants. He was the former District Commissioner for the Boy Scouts of America and had been a Troop Leader and Jamboree Leader. He was also a former member Washington Lodge, F. & A.M.

His funeral will be private.
