Police Investigating Reported Stabbing on Bike Path

North Kingstown police are investigating a reported stabbing that occurred Sunday night at the Quonset Bike Path near Newcomb Road.

Police arrived at the scene just after 10 p.m. Sunday after a man in his 20s claimed he had been assaulted on the bike path. The victim, who is a North Kingstown resident and lives near the bike path, had "very minor injuries" and minor lacerations on his midsection, according to Lt. James Robinson. The victim was treated at the scene for his injuries.
