Join us for a special evening at Island Books to celebrate the release of KNOW THE NIGHT: A Memoir of Survival in the Small Hours by Maria Mutch. Mutch lives in NK with her
husband and two sons, one of whom has Down Syndrome and Autism and is
the inspiration for KNOW THE NIGHT. 

Maria Mutch was born and raised in Canada, and has a degree in visual art. Her essays and short fiction have appeared in, or are forthcoming from, Poets & Writers, Guernica, Necessary Fiction, Fiction Writers Review, Bayou Magazine and Literary Mama, among others. Her debut book, Know the Night, is published by Knopf Canada and Simon & Schuster, spring, 2014.

Her memoir is receiving rave reviews and touching special  families everywhere.
