Recycling Suspended in North Kingstown Thanks to Snow

North Kingstown tried to get through a normal day Thursday despite the snow but poor road conditions and steady snow all day long has thrwarted those efforts.

Trash collection Thursday has been suspended and any customer not serviced today should be picked up Friday. The rest of the week will operate on a one-day delay, according to the North Kingstown public works department.

Meanwhile, the North Kingstown School Department cancelled afternoon kindergarten in the middle of the day along with late buses.

A parking ban issued by the North Kingstown Police Department remains in effect until further notice.
