School Officials, Police Investigating Incident at High School
North Kingstown police and school officials will not elaborate on the details of the investigation.

Local law enforcement and school officials spent Wednesday morning investigating an "incident" at North Kingstown High School.
According to NKHS Principal Tom Kenworthy, a potential threat was reported to and investigated by the school's administration, working in conjunction with the North Kingstown Police Department.

At this time, school officials and police are not releasing the details or nature of the threat as the investigation is ongoing. Kenworthy added, however, that the administration and NKPD will not be taking any further action on the matter. Additionally, the incident did "not rise to the level" of putting the school in lockdown mode.
"We're taking these kinds of things very serious and in light of recent events we're being extra careful," said Kenworthy.
