Serial Baby Formula Shoplifter Caught
Police say 38-year-old Arron Thomas Perrino of Providence has stolen more than $1,500 in baby formula and energy drinks from Walmart.
A man facing felony charges of stealing more than $1,500 worth of baby formula and energy drinks from the Ten Rod Road Walmart twice this month was caught red handed on July 25 as he attempted to walk out of the store with 25 more cans of formula, plus three cases and five 12-packs of Red Bull and a bottle of Sunny Delight.
Police charged Arron Thomas Perrino, 38, of 128 Moorefield St., Providence, with felony shoplifting and habitual shoplifting along with a trio of warrants connected to other offenses.
The arrest came after a loss prevention officer familiar with the previous incidents called police at around 12:30 p.m. to tell police that Perrino was in the store.

When police arrived, Perrino was leaving the store after he was confronted by the loss prevention officer and abandoned his shopping cart.
He was taken into custody without incident.

According to a police report, Perrino was captured on store security cameras as he stole enfamil baby formula and energy drinks on July 18 and 19.
All told, he stole 73 cans of formula in the prior incidents before being caught in the act trying to steal the 25 new cans.
He also allegedly has stolen 14 cases of Monster energy drinks, a 10-pack of Monster energy drinks and a 12-pack of Red Bull in prior incidents.
