Police Issue Ticket to Teen Involved in Bus Crash
A Cranston teenager has been issued a summons for failure to stay in the lane of travel.

A 17-year-old driver from Cranston has been issued a ticket from the Rhode Island State Police following , the Providence Journal reports. The State Police issued a summons for failing to stay in the lane of travel, which carries a fine of $85.
According to police, the teen was driving north on Route 4 around 3:10 p.m. Monday when he . The bus was carrying 32 passengers – 26 of which were elementary school-aged children – from the Jewish Community Day School in Providence.
According to police, the bus launched over a guardrail, down an embankment and hit a tree after the teen driver hit it. All occupants were brought to area hospitals, though only the driver of the bus suffered serious injuries after he was ejected from the bus.

The Journal also reports that Providence's recreation department has temporarily suspended transportation services to schools and other community groups in the wake of the accident.
