Tyler, Merry, and Todd Whittaker received the Geoff Skog Award in memory of Ted from Chris Skog and the NK Arts Council Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the Quonset Officers Club. Merry commented, "Over 100 people came and it was such fun to hear so many wonderful stories about how Ted contributed to the town. WE were very proud and he would have been happy to receive this award in honor of his friend, neighbor, and artist Geoff Skog...Anthony Micolis brought it full circle, as he knew both men, and talked how we're all connected and it's about giving to others and the community." We were honored by all the people in attendance and the other, numerous, heartfelt speeches.
The NK Arts Council also receives funding from Centreville Bank.
