Three-car Wreck Backs Up Sunday Traffic on Route 4
Incident near exit 5 in North Kingstown results in minor injuries, sending the victims to South County Hospital.
A three-car accident backed traffic up on Route 4 Sunday afternoon, adding to the already heavy beach traffic on a warm summer weekend.
The North Kignstown Police Department reported that three cars were involved in the accident near Exit 5 on Route 4. Two adults and four children were treated at the scene, according to the North Kingstown Fire Department dispatcher.
While the injuries reportedly appeared to be minor, the victims were taken to South County Hospital to be examined further. No other information was immediately available. Traffic was moving at its usual pace by about 3 p.m.
