Two-Car Accident on Post Road Sends One to Hospital, Snarls Traffic

One man was sent to the hospital after a two-car accident on Post Road at Camp Avenue Friday afternoon.

According to witnesses, a maroon Ford pickup truck hit a black Cadillac Escalade, sending it spinning into a telephone pole. North Kingstown police, fire and State Police rushed to the scene around 1:15 p.m.

The driver of the pickup truck was brought to the hospital by rescue crews from the North Kingstown Fire Department.

Traffic is backed up in both north and southbound lanes of Post Road in the area as crews work to remove the vehicles and clear debris.
