Want in on Quonset Job Boom? Monthly Job Fairs Offer a Doorway

Quonset Point is steadily becoming one of the most important drivers of the state economy, with rapid growth in Quonset Business Park in recent years.

There are now more than 10,000 jobs in Quonset among the 175 companies located there and as new government contracts roll in to Electric Boat, new cars steam in to the port and the overall economy improves, demand for qualified workers is increasing alongside the growth.

Monthly fairs on the first Wednesday of each month were launched late last year at Quonset Business Park in an effort to attract workers. Companies like Electric Boat, Ocean State Job Lot, Senesco Marine, Toray Plastics and others have been participating.

The next job fair will run from 9 a.m. to noon at Wide World of Indoor Sports at 1610 Davisville Road in North Kingstown.
