Wickford Art Association Presents Photos Of Cuba

The event is set for April 23.

From the Wickford Art Association: Cuba is a communist country with tobacco fields, colorful 50's cars, white sand beaches and Spanish colonial architecture. Cuba is also known for its vibrant art, salsa music and friendly people. Join us for a night of images, stories and impressions of the country and her people with 10 American photographers who traveled to Cuba this past January.

The artists will also talk about their trip and art during a panel discussion. The ten artists will share 300 images and attendees will be amazed by the diversity in points of view and subjects captured.

The ten members of the 2018 Profundo Journeys Photography Tour to Cuba are Denise Bass, Jody Brown (Kingston, RI), Nancy Fahrenholz (East Greenwich, RI), Libby Granett, Paul M. Murray (Jamestown, RI), Susan Ohama (Newport, RI), George Salter (Narragansett, RI), Dan Suzio, Jane Viti (Middletown, RI) and Cindy Horovitz Wilson (North Kingstown, RI).
