Rhode Islanders can’t wait to see the last of the snow this particularly hard winter, but at least it’s pretty, right?
It’s especially pretty in Wickford, which has a quaint colonial New England feel and a bevy of stores and places to eat and shop.
Yankee Magazine has taken notice of the historic North Kingstown village and has named Wickford as one of New England’s prettiest winter villages.

Wickford merchants and residents are hoping to drive improvements and growth to their beloved village and have been coordinating efforts to improve how the village is marketed. And city planners are exploring how infrastructure and pedestrian upgrades could drive growth without affecting historical integrity.
Getting a mention from a prominent tourism-related magazine won’t hurt.
