Cruising for Couples or How to Maximize Your Fun and Safety Afloat - Wickford Yacht Club Seminar Series

Wickford Yacht Club invites the public to a free program

Come to this interactive presentation on preparing your power or sailboat for cruising (and many tips for day sailers, too. This talk will focus on the things that can and should be done at the dock, before you get underway in order to assure an enjoyable trip. Dan will review safety equipment aboard, its location, purpose, and safe operation. He will also review propulsion and anchoring gear. What to do when things go wrong will be discussed.

Dan will introduce the popular Cruising Club of America text Cruising for Couples. This presentation is a real eye opener for Captains, crew, first mates, or the occasional passenger. You do not need to be a couple to attend. 

The presentation will begin at 7:30, following a meet-and-greet social period beginning at 7 pm. The program will be at Wickford Yacht Club, 165 Pleasant Street, Wickford. There is no charge to attend.
