Wickford Yacht Club Seminar Series - Rare Marine Life in New England Waters

On Jan. 8th, local author, Todd McLeish, will speak about the rare marine animals that share the waters with us in New England. Free.

Wickford Yacht Club invites members and guests to a program featuring local author Todd McLeish.

Rhode Island based writer, Todd McLeish, has been writing about wildlife and environmental issues for more than 20 years. In this talk, he will discuss many local species including humpback whales, sea turtles, wolfish, halibut, and even horseshoe crabs. This presentation will center on his book, Basking with Humpbacks: Tracking Threatened Marine Life in New England Waters.

Todd is the author of two other books: Golden Wings and Hairy Toes: Encounters with New England’s Most Imperiled Wildlife and Narwhals: Artic Whales in a Melting World.

He is also an expert birder and the former world joggling champion (juggling while jogging!)

The presentation will begin at 7:30pm,on January 8th,  following a meet-and-greet social period starting at 7pm. The program will be at WYC. The presentation is open to the public and there is no charge to attend.
