Multiple witnesses said that Buhre's friend and another woman began arguing in the smoking area when Buhre left to go to her car. She allegedly returned with pepper spray and proceeded to spray the two women. According to reports, other patrons in the area were exposed to the spray and had to be treated by the North Kingstown Fire Department.
When police arrived, they noticed that Buhre was "highly intoxicated," having difficulty speaking and standing up straight. She allegedly told police she was trying to walk away from the argument and to her car when she was followed by a group of people, at which point she sprayed them.
