• North Providence Police Cancel Silver Alert for 84-Year-Old Sandra Laurie After Missing Woman Was Reported Last Seen Thursday in Providence (centralrecorder.com) — North Providence residents are being told that police have canceled the Silver Alert for 84-year-old Sandra Laurie, who was previously reported missing and considered endangered due to health issues. Officers had focused attention on areas of Providence she frequents and shared her description widely, but now say the public alert is no longer active, without releasing further details about how she was found.
   

• Cranston East moves to 4-0 with 26-13 win over North Providence (wpri.com) — North Providence football fans saw the Cougars fall 26–13 at home to previously unbeaten Cranston East, which moved to 4–0 behind three touchdown passes from Gavin Boylan. North Providence still found the end zone twice and will try to rebound next Friday on the road at Chariho, giving local supporters another chance to follow the team's season.
