State Recommends Shutting Down Swimming Area At Governor Notte Park Beach

The Rhode Island Department of Health recommended closing the swimming area due to a cyanobacteria advisory.

NORTH PROVIDENCE, RI — The state recommended closing down the swim area of Governor Notte Park Beach in North Providence.

The Rhode Island Department of Health recommended shutting down the swim area due to a cyanobacteria advisory.

"During a beach closure, RIDOH has determined that the water is not currently safe for swimming or other activities in the water," the department said. "The beach facility itself is still open to the public."
