• North Smithfield PFAS Filter Date May Slip, Engineer Says (upriseri.com) — Families in North Smithfield should know that the planned three-filter PFAS treatment system for the middle and high school water supply may miss its Feb. 15, 2027 installation target. Until state approval, bidding, and construction are complete, the campus will keep blending water from two wells, while officials work toward a carbon filtration setup designed to bring PFAS levels down to non-detectable levels.
