• Pawtucket Man Charged With Assaulting Health Care Provider Arrested: Cops (patch.com) — Residents may want to know that a 27-year-old Pawtucket man accused of assaulting a health care provider was arrested after allegedly missing a court date. State police say he was taken into custody late Tuesday night on a warrant, processed at headquarters, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions.
   

• Pawtucket Teachers Contract Stalls at City Council Panel (upriseri.com) — Pawtucket's City Council finance committee has put the proposed three-year teachers' contract on hold, asking the School Committee to return with a one-year deal retroactive to September 1 amid doubts about funding later years. With millions in added costs projected and no five-year forecast yet, the contract's future could affect class sizes, school days, and future city budget requests.
   

• Cleanup continues in Southern New England following nor'easter (coastalabc.com) — Pawtucket residents are still cleaning up after this weekend's nor'easter, with Shea High School canceling Monday classes because of storm damage and at least one home waking up to a tree in the front yard. While Westerly and other areas saw major flooding and stranded cars, local leaders say repairs are underway and cleanup will continue through the week.
