He also allegedly refused a chemical test before being processed, arraigned, and released with a notice to appear in court.

2. 2 Arrested After Pawtucket Apartment Riddled With Bullets: Police (patch.com) — People living in Pawtucket's Prospect Heights neighborhood are learning more after nine bullets were fired into a local apartment, including one that entered a child's bedroom and hit a headboard. Police say license plate cameras helped them quickly track a suspect vehicle, leading to the arrests of two people on felony assault and related charges.

From police training to housing help, where $5.4M will be spent (newportri.com) — More than $5.4 million in Rhode Island Foundation grants will support nonprofits statewide, including two based in Pawtucket. Harbor of Hope Foundation and Blackstone Valley Community Healthcare are receiving funding to expand free CNA training and strengthen local health services, potentially opening more career paths and improving care access for Pawtucket residents.

'Past is prologue' at Burbage Theatre this season (independentri.com) — Pawtucket's Burbage Theatre Company is kicking off a new season built around the theme "Past Is Prologue," with five productions plus special Halloween and Christmas shows at its Blackstone Avenue home. The lineup opens Sept. 17–Oct. 11 with Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing," followed by the premiere of "Cheap," a Molière-inspired comedy running Nov. 19–Dec. 6.

White Stadium won't be ready until 2028 (theixsports.com) — Pawtucket's Centreville Bank Stadium will keep hosting Boston Legacy FC's NWSL home games through the 2027 season while Boston's White Stadium construction stretches to 2028. That means more top-tier women's soccer in the city, after already drawing sellout crowds and staging the venue's first pro women's match earlier this year.
