• Providence Man Arrested On Gun Charges: Cops (patch.com) — A Providence man was stopped by Rhode Island State Police on Smithfield Avenue in Pawtucket shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday and arrested on multiple gun charges. Police say the 36-year-old faces counts including carrying a pistol without a permit, possessing a stolen firearm, and being a prohibited person in possession of a gun, and has been released with a court date.
