Portsmouth Abbey Student Heading to Polo Nationals

Congratulations to Minnie Keating '13 and the Newport Polo Team!

Minnie and her team competed in the 2012 United States Interscholastic New England Women's Polo Preliminaries at in Portsmouth over the weekend.

Minnie was one of three members of the Newport Polo Team that faced off against a team from Cedar Valley in Toronto on Saturday and a team from western New York in the finals on Sunday. Newport defeated Cedar Valley 25-3, and the western New York team 25-15.

Having won the preliminaries, Minnie and her teammates will be headed to Nationals in March at the University of Virginia. Eight teams from all over the United States will compete for the national title.
