Portsmouth Abbey Students, Faculty Celebrate Lunar New Year

Students welcomed the Year of the Dragon with homemade Chinese and Korean food.

students and faculty celebrated the Lunar New Year on Monday night with a festive meal in the dining hall.

Homemade Chinese dumplings and eggrolls were paired with sticky rice, rice cake soup, persimmon punch and homemade sesame cookies. 

There was also a poster contest to celebrate the coming of the Year of the Dragon.

Jina Kim '12 won first place with her black dragon on a white background, Lucy Chen '14 and Yuefeng Wu '15 placed second with their red-themed poster and Broghan Zwack '12 was third with a white dragon on a black background.
