Police Log: DUI, iPhone Stolen from Package Delivery
The following arrests and incidents were reported by Portsmouth Police. They do not indicate a conviction.

DUI
Police charged Daniel Joseph O’Kane, 59, of 48 Redwood Road, Portsmouth, with driving under the influence Dec. 13 at 2:25 a.m.
Police said O’Kane stopped behind a police cruiser that was parked on the side of the road conducting an unrelated traffic stop on West Main Road at around 2:16 p.m.
An officer was in the cruiser when O’Kane reportedly came up from behind and stopped. The officer reported waiting 30 seconds to see O’Kane would drive around the cruiser but the car didn’t budge.

The officer then got out of his car and tried to wave O’Kane around but he still didn’t move.
The officer approached and after struggling to roll down his window,O’Kane told the officer he froze because he saw the “lights to your cruiser and didn’t know what to do.”

The officer smelled alcohol on O’Kane’s breath and he later failed a field sobriety test.
O’Kane reportedly registered two readings of .151 in breath tests at police headquarters.
NARCOTICS
Police charged Korby Marie LeBlanc, 31, of 1156 Anthony Road, Portsmouth, with narcotics possession and a warrant Dec. 10 after her car was stopped for a broken tail light and an illegal license plate cover.
Police said LeBlanc had an active Second Division District Court bench warrant and while police were taking her into custody, she told an officer that she had two Adderall pills in her pocket.
A search of the car turned up six yellow pills that were later identified as Alprazolam, police said.
LeBlanc reportedly told police she did not have a prescription for the medication.
PHONE STOLEN FROM PACKAGE
An Islington Ave. woman told police on Dec. 13 that someone stole an iPhone 6 from a box that was delivered to her house.
According to a police report, the woman told police that she ordered the phone from Amazon and it was shipped to her via Federal Express. When she inspected the package, it felt light. She became suspicious, opened the box and saw nothing inside except the packaging slip.
Police said the box appeared to be repackaged with scotch tape as if someone had opened and re-sealed it.
The phone, valued at $845, was registered as stolen.
