Portsmouth Police Log: Husband and Wife Charged With Stealing Booze

The following arrest information was supplied by the Portsmouth Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A husband and wife were arrested at the Wednesday on charges they stole wine and coffee-flavored liquor from an area store. 

David Lavery, 34, and his wife, Erica, 30, of 43 Camara Drive, were both arrested at the station and charged with larceny under $500. 

Both were wanted in connection with an incident that occurred Saturday, Nov. 5, at .

According to police, a woman was seen on the store's video camera taking a bottle of wine off the shelf and placing it inside her handbag. The man later handed her a bottle of Kahlua, a coffee-flavored liquor, which she then also placed inside her bag. 

Police issued a warrant for the Laverys, who turned themselves in at the police station Wednesday.
