Two men and a woman from Providence were charged with obtaining property through false pretenses, police said.
Sylvia Wright Collins, 56, Twiplay Collins, 42, and Isaac Gee, age 76, were arrested Wednesday by the Rhode Island State Police Financial Crimes Unit, the state police said in a media release.
Sylvia Wright Collins was charged with obtaining more than $10,0000 worth of property by false pretenses or personation, the release said, and Twiplay Collins was charged with obtaining more than $5,000 but less than $10,0000 worth of property by false pretenses or personation.
Gee was charged with obtaining more than $1,500 and less than $5,000 worth of property by false pretenses or personation.
Sylvia Wright Collins, Twiplay Collins and Gee were also charged with accessing a computer for fraudulent purposes, according to the release.
Sylvia Wright Collins, Twiplay Collins and Gee were taken into custody at state police headquarters, processed, arraigned and released with court dates, according to police.
