Coronavirus Rhode Island: First 2 Deaths Confirmed
The Rhode Island Department of Health said a person in their 80s and another in their 70s died of the new coronavirus.

RHODE ISLAND — Rhode Island officials on Saturday announced the state's first two coronavirus deaths. One person in their 80s died Friday night and the other person in their 70s died Saturday, according to the Rhode Island Department of Health.
The two people had underlying medical conditions, officials said.
Gov. Gina Raimondo on Saturday announced 36 new cases of the virus, bringing the total to 239. Twenty-nine people are hospitalized.

The developments led Raimondo to issue a stay-at-home order for all Rhode Islanders through April 13. She said there are "too many instances" of people not following social distancing rules.
"For those that are not in compliance, I need you to do better," Raimondo said.
