FBI Drug Bust in Providence: Press Conference Thursday
The U.S. Attorney's office says the conference is about an ongoing international drug trafficking investigation.

PROVIDENCE, RI — According to WJAR news, several people appeared in Providence federal court Wednesday. They allegedly are part of a heroin ring was busted by the FBI, and state and local police. The U.S. Attorney's office in Providence said the court released a 200-page affidavit on the case Wednesday afternoon. However, nothing was posted on the court's electronic filing system. The FBI's Boston office said the information would be presented at the press conference, however.
According to the press release, this bust was connected to the FBI Safe Streets Task Force.
Acting United States Attorney Stephen G. Dambruch, Harold H. Shaw, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Boston Division, and Michael J. Ferguson, Special Agent in Charge of the DEA in New England, will hold a news conference Thursday at 10:30 a.m. to discuss an on-going FBI Safe Streets Task Force international drug trafficking investigation.

The news conference will be held in the media briefing room at the United States Attorney’s Office in Providence, Rhode Island.
