Massachusetts Woman Charged With Providence Hit-And-Run Crash: Police

The Carver woman surrendered to the law, police said.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Massachusetts woman was charged with a hit-and-run crash in Providence, police said.

Tempest Wolter, 20, was arrested shortly before 10:30 p.m. Saturday and charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in damage to the attended vehicle and vandalism, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

The arrest resulted from troopers "responding to a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident in Providence" and Wolter surrendering at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, the release said.

Wolter was processed and released with a notice to appear in court, according to the release.
