New Indictment As Providence Hells Angels Investigation Continues

Three people were indicted in connection with a shooting outside the Hells Angels clubhouse in Providence in June.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A fourth person has been named in connection with a shooting outside the Providence Hells Angels Clubhouse in June. On Friday, Rhode Island State Police announced that three people have been indicted by a grand jury on weapons and drug charges.

The club's leader, Joseph Lancia, 28, of Smithfield was the first to be arrested on June 12. The next day, two additional arrests were made: Amber Gill, 25, of Andem Street in Providence and Howard Pollitt, 45, of King Philip Street in Fall River.

On Friday, Rhode Island State Police said three people were indicted by a grand jury on charges related to drug and firearm possession. Lancia, Gill and Lance Imor, 54, of Glenn Drive in West Warwick.

The indictments stem from the June 12 incident, when shots were fired outside the Messer Street clubhouse not long before 11 a.m. Police said Lancia is believed to have fired into the passenger-side window of a car as it drove by. No injuries were reported and police later seized three guns and ammunition from inside the clubhouse.

Lancia, Gill and Imor were indicted by the statewide grand jury on the following charges:

Lancia

  • Assault with the Intent to Commit Murder
  • Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Firearm)
  • Discharging a Firearm While Committing a Crime of Violence
  • Carrying a Pistol without a Permit

Imor

  • Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)
  • Compounding and Concealing a Felony
  • Concealment of a Felony

Gill

  • Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance (Tetrahydrocannabinol)

All three were arraigned in Providence Superior Court on Wednesday and ordered to have no contact with the victim. Lancia was released on $100,000 bail, while Imor was released on $10,000 bail and Gill was released on $3,000 personal recognizance.

Both Lancia and Imor are members of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club.
