Pawtucket Special Election Poll: Norton 34%, Cano 27% Fectau 23%
Voting Day is Tuesday, February 27th

A new poll finds District 8 voters participating in Tuesday, February 26th's Special Election leaning towards David Norton, who is supported by 34% of the respondents who participated in the telephone survey poll, followed by Sandra Cano (27%), Mark Fectau at (23%), and undecided (16%).
The poll found:
The majority of people surveyed said District 8 needs "Change," with 64 percent saying the need is "urgent," and 21% agreeing with the direction of current leadership.
Over two-thirds of people surveyed (69%) said that saving Memorial Hospital is the number one priority for their elected official. A plurality of voters (32%) said a new Pawsox Stadium would do the most to improve the economy, followed Memorial Hospital (29%), and Local Businesses (27%).

More than 40% of survey participants said more affordable healthcare would do the most to improve their well being, followed by 35% who said more affordable healthcare.
More than 57% of survey participants called the condition of school facilities a “great” problem. Almost 34% rated parent-school communications as a “great” problem, and 26% described the adequacy of state financial support for schools in their community as a “great” problem.

The poll was conducted by Lockhart & Associates, between Feb. 19 and and Feb. 21, the telephone poll surveyed 300 registered voters.
The poll surveyed a variety of issues relating to District 8 voters and has a margin of error of 3.66%.
