Providence Man Killed In Mansfield Truck Crash Saturday: Massachusetts State Police
The pickup truck driver killed on I-495 Saturday has been identified.

PROVIDENCE, RI—The pickup truck driver who crashed into a tractor-trailer in Mansfield, Mass., on Saturday has been identified. The Massachusetts state police said Wednesday he is Omar Barrientos, 24, of Providence. The accident is still under investigation, police said.
State Police Barracks in Foxboro responded at 5:25 a.m. Saturday to reports of a crash on Route 95 Northbound, at the 10 mile-marker, near the rest area in Mansfield. Upon arrival, Trooper Samantha Lucas discovered that a 2015 Ford F250 pickup, had struck the rear of a 2015 Kenworth tractor-trailer which was disabled in the breakdown lane, with a flat tire. The F250 immediately caught fire. The pickup truck driver died at the scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was also from Providence. The 56-year-old man suffered minor injuries, but refused immediate medical treatment.
