Providence Murder Suspect Arrested In NYC
36-year-old Luis Santos was found murdered in his vehicle in the Elmwood section of the city on April 16.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man wanted in connection with an April murder has been arrested in New York City. A warrant has been out for the arrest of Sigismund Dantzler, 36, since Luis Santos, 36, of Woonsocket was found dead in his vehicle on April 16.
That night, police were called to the intersection of Mitchell and Melrose Streets in the Elmwood section of Providence around 11 p.m. There, they found Santos in his blue Ford Escape, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Providence police said the department worked with teh U.S. Marshals Service to find Dantzler, who was hiding out in Harlem. Dantzler was arrested by the New York Police Department and U.S. Marshals on April 30, and will be sent back to Rhode Island to be charged.

The investigation is still ongoing and police said they are searching for at least one other suspect at this time.
