Providence Police Horse Passes Away

PROVIDENCE, RI — The Providence Police Department's Mounted Command horse Thunder has died.

"Thunder, 12, was born at Grant’s Farm in St. Louis and later donated to the department by McLaughlin and Moran, Inc.," the department posed to social media.

"Thunder proudly served the City of Providence and will be deeply missed, especially by his partner, Officer Jose Mendez," the post said.
