Providence Woman Charged With Fraudulently Obtaining More Than $10K In Property: Police
The Providence police located the woman following a Rhode Island State Police investigation, according to a media release.
PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence woman was charged with fraudulently obtaining more than $10,000 worth of property, police said.
Gbessay Madave, 43, was also charged with fraudulently obtaining mroe than $500 in public assistance and giving a false document to an agent, employee or public official, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Madave was arrested about 6:30 p.m., according to the release.

State troopers investigated Madave and she was located by the Providence police, the release said.
Madave was processed at the Wickford, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released with a Third Division District Court date, according to the release.
