Statehouse Caucus Honors Viola Davis
The actress couldn't make it, but her family members stood in for her.

PROVIDENCE, RI — The Rhode Island Black and Latino Legislative Caucus honored Viola Davis on Tuesday in the House Lounge. Davis grew up in Central Falls and studied acting at Rhode Island College. After RIC, she continued drama studies at Julliard in New York City. She won an Oscar in 2017 for her performance in Fences. She's also won the Emmy, the Tony and the Golden Globe.
