Shots Fired InWest Warwick: Cops
Officers searched the area of Ottawa Street, police said.
WEST WARWICK, RI — Officers responded to shots fired on Ottawa Street overnight Wednesday, police said.
"Officers located spent shell casings in the roadway; however,
no victims or property damage were found," the West Warwick Police Department said in a media release on the 2 a.m. Thursday incident.
"Members of the Patrol and Detective Divisions conducted an extensive area canvas with assistance from the Coventry Police Department and the Rhode Island State Police," the release said.

The shooter or shooters remain at large and the "investigation remains ongoing," according to the release.
The police asked anyone with information to contact the West Warwick Police Department Detective Division at 401-827-9044 and said callers may remain anonymous.
