Westerly Man Charged With Child's Neglect Death In West Virginia: Cops

RICHMOND, RI — A Westerly man charged with a child's neglect death in West Virginia was apprehended during a traffic stop in Richmond, police said.

Donte Thornhill, 29, was pulled over about 3:30 p.m. Monday on Interstate 95, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Thornhill faces a charge of child neglect causing death in Berkeley County, according to the release.

Thornhill was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks, arraigned and taken to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men's Intake Center pending a morning arraignment, the release said.
