North Smithfield Man Charged With Throwing Articles At Moving Vehicle: Cops

SMITHFIELD, RI — A North Smithfield man was charged with throwing articles at a moving vehicle following a "road rage incident" in Smithfield, police said.

Jacob Auger, 34, was arrested about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Auger was also charged with disorderly conduct, the release said.

Auger was arrested after troopers responded to a "road rage incident" on Interstate 295, according to the release.

Auger was processed at state police headquarters, arraigned and provided a court date, the release said.
