92nd Street Broadcast: Paul Krugman and Silvia Nasar

The Four Corners Arts Center is pleased to present Paul Krugman and Silvia Nasar as part of the first broadcast in an ongoing 92nd Street Y Live Broadcast series.  The 92nd Street Y is renowned as one of the nation’s foremost cultural centers and an organization of remarkable diversity and vitality. 

Paul Krugman joined The New York Times in 1999 as a columnist on the Op-Ed page and is a professor of economics and international affairs at Princeton University. He is the recipient of the 2008 Nobel Prize in Economics.

Sylvia Nasar is a professor at the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism and the author of the best seller A Beautiful Mind, which has been published in 30 languages, including Farsi, Turkish, Russian and Hindi, and inspired the Academy Award-winning movie directed by Ron Howard. Professor Nasar was a New York Times economics correspondent, staff writer at Fortune, and columnist at U.S. News & World Report. She has lectured frequently on topics ranging from globalization and economics to mental illness and mathematics. She will discuss her latest book, Grand Pursuit: A History of Economic Genius, in which she takes on one of the greatest inventions of modern time—economics.
