
The traditional Country Day at Pardon Gray returns, with free parking and admission; kids' activity bracelets are $5. Rain date is Sept. 18. Presented by Tiverton Land Trust.
New attractions include the National Guard rock wall challenge for teens 15 and over and adults, the
working model of the Rose Island Lighthouse for young people to tour, anthropology activities for youth and a display of Native American artifacts by the Haffenreffer Museum, and demonstrations by the East Bay Martial Arts students.
Returning by popular demand are the pony rides, hayrides, pumpkin decorating, arts and crafts vendors, Tiverton Fire and Police departments with activities and vehicles, the N.E. Antique Tractor and Truck Association's farm vehicles, the 2nd RI, Regiment 's colonial campsite, the Master Gardeners' Workshops, the Astronomical Society of Southern New England with scopes to
view solar flares and planets, the Tiverton High School carpentry students with kits to build bird nesting boxes, and the Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts with crafts, tattoos and face painting.

The Pardon Gray Day tradition of a slice of pie with a free scoop of Gray's Ice Cream continues. Grilled foods, pizza, and drinks are available, as well as cotton candy, snow cones, popcorn and sweet lemon straws.
The event opens at 10 am with lively music by the Tiverton High School strings. At 11:00, the Spindle
Rock River Rats will take center stage, followed by Gary Farias at 12:30. Everyone's favorite, the
Pooch Parade, starts at 3:00, when children parade their pets before the "judges".
