The Four Corners Arts Center is pleased to announce a celebration to “Meet the Artists” of the 15th Annual Sculpture Exhibit at The Meeting House at Tiverton Four Corners.
This year’s exhibition has been curated by Alma Carrillo and Drake Patton of the acclaimed Steel Yard of Providence. Its’ theme is focused on upcycling and repurposing the urban landscape in a rural setting.
“At its’ most basic, ‘Fertile City’ invites us to discard accepted distinctions between the urban and the rural and accept the imposition of each upon the other. Taken a step further, the show is also sending us a somewhat ominous message, envisioning a world where all landscapes become one, and where Nature is defined by submission. Still, there are glimmers of hope in this story; and we look forward to sharing them with the public.” Say Carrillo and Patton.
