The 18th Annual Ben Wilkie Memorial Tree Spree will be held today. Dozens of themed decorating trees as well as other donated items from will be available to win throughout the day, offered by the Little Compton Village Improvement Society. There will be a craft and small business show in the School Commons area adjacent to the gym.
Santa and his elf will arrive at 6 pm to greet all the children and hand out candy canes.
The town's tree lighting will be held at 5 pm with caroling led by Phoebe Simmons and Friends.

974 trees have been donated to the tree spree since the show started in 1994, so organizers will be celebrating the donation of the 1000th tree.
All proceeds from the tree spree tree are used to provide scholarships to deserving local students administered by Citizens Scholarship Foundation of Little Compton.
