1. Explorers Program – Thursdays, 9:30-11am
Young explorers can learn about all the elements that shape Goosewing Beach Preserve. Each week will have a different topic and new activities. All ages welcome, adult supervision required
June 30 – Welcome/ Habitats & Biodiversity at Goosewing
July 7 – Tide Pool Creatures / Food Webs & Primary Producers
July 14 – Invisible Forces at Work / Water Quality & Tides
July 21 – Plants, Insects & Birds at Goosewing

August 4 – Camouflage & Adaptations / Scavenger Hunt

2. Morning Meanders – Saturdays, 9-10am
Start of your weekend with a guided walk around Goosewing Beach Preserve.

3. Sunset Strolls – Fridays, 7:30 – 9pm
Join us for a guided evening walk along Goosewing Beach. Feel free to bring a camera to capture the sunset splendor of Goosewing Beach and Quicksand Pond

4. Shore Explorations – Wednesdays, 9:30-11am (cover the same material)
Calling all explorers! Come and use the seine net to discover critters of many shapes and tiny sizes. All ages welcome. Bring shoes that can get wet. Children under 12 need adult accompaniment.

5. Walks at Dundery Brook – Saturdays, 9 - 10:30am
Join us for a guided walk around Dundery Brook Trail to Bumblebee Pond!
Please meet at the parking lot by the ball fields.

Evening Events
See our Preserve in a different light! All groups and ages welcome to enjoy the night skies.
1. Night Hikes - Fridays 8:30-9:30pm
Come explore Goosewing Beach by moon light! Each week will cover a different topic of night shore life.
Monday, June 20 – Summer Solstice (Moon & Tides)
July 1 – Evening Beach inhabitants (Night Adaptations)
August 19 – Night Lights (Bioluminescence and piezoelectricity)
2. Firefly Frenzy – Friday, 8:30-10pm, July 15
3rd Annual Firefly Frenzy! Join us for a night of learning about these bioluminescent creatures.
3. Perseid Shower Gaze – Friday, 8:30-10pm, August 12
2nd Annual Perseid Shower Gaze! Join us for a night of star gazing and let’s see how many meteors we can count!
4. Ctenophore Commotion – Friday, 8:30-10pm, August 26
Come observe and learn a bit about these fascinating sea creatures of the deep (and shallows)
5. Astronomy Night (cover same material) – on nights with full moon, 7:30-9pm
Join us on the nights of the full moon to learn about moon phases and eclipses. The night will conclude with a moonlit stroll along Goosewing Beach!
