Little Compton Man Arrested for Allegedly Possessing Pot at Warren Points Beach

The following reports were submitted by the on Monday, March 7.

Arrests:

  • Taylor D. Eddy, 19, of 12 South of Commons Road, was arrested by Little Compton Police at 9:39 p.m. March 3 at Warrens Point Beach. According to police, officers came in contact with Eddy while he was parked at the beach. Officers reportedly smelled the odor of burnt marijuana coming from his vehicle. After a search, police found a plastic bag containing marijuana. Eddy was arrested, held overnight and arraigned in court the next morning.

  • A Peckham Road resident walked into police headquarters at 10:46 a.m. March 1 to report finding an ATM card on the side of the aforementioned road. The card was seized and police contacted the owner to pick it up.
  • Police responded to a Long Highway residence at 6:25 p.m. March 1 after a resident reported fraudulent charges made on her credit card. A report was taken.
  • Police responded to a report of a domestic argument at 4:27 p.m. March 3 at a South of Commons Road residence. After speaking with everyone involved, the matter as resolved.
  • Police responded to a South Shore Road residence at 7:37 a.m. March 4 when a resident reported that someone placed air conditioner units in the basement of her vacant house. A report was taken.
  • Police responded to the John Duer Road Mill Pond parking management area on at Simmons Pond Road at 3:08 p.m. March 5 for a larceny complaint. The resident reported while he was in the management area someone stole the tailgate light off his truck. A report was taken.
  • Police responded to Long Highway at 10:05 p.m. March 5 for a report of an intoxicated woman walking in the area. After searching the area, police reportedly found the woman in question passed out on the side of the road. Police stated she refused medical attention and was given a ride back to her residence.
