Little Compton Police: 2 DUIs, Warrant Arrest and Several Incidents

Man charged with driving three times over the legal limit
Wilfred Charette, 26, 16 North Drive, Portsmouth, was arrested at 7:09 p.m., Sunday, May 27. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol (BAC of .15 or greater).
stopped Charette on West Main Road after they received a call of a vehicle "all over the road." Officers reportedly saw the same behavior when they followed Charette before conducting the stop. After a brief investigation, police determined he was under the influence. Charette reportedly failed a series of field sobriety tests and was arreated.

According to police, he took a breathalyzer test back at the station and allegedly blew just over three times the legal limit.
DUI

Shannon Rouse, 35, 512 Neck Road, Tiverton, was arrested at 4:26 p.m., Monday, May 21. She was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and alcohol and refusal of a chemical test. Police stopped Rouse on West Main Road for an alleged motor vehicle infraction when officers detected she was under the influence. Rouse reportedly failed a series of field sobriety tests and was arrested. Back at the station, police said she refused a breathalyzer.
Warrant arrest
Erin M. Kinnane, 24, 71 Stony Hollow Road, Tiverton, was arrested at 9:17 a.m., Monday, May 21. She was taken into custody based on an oustanding arrest warrant in for failure to appear for sentencing, as well as operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license. She was transported to court to be arraigned.
Reported vehicle thefts
- An Oak Forrest resident reported at 5:13 a.m., Tuesday, May 22 that someone broke into her unlocked vehicle overnight. She reported some missing change and electronics.
- A Long Highway resident reported at 10:20 a.m., Tuesday May 22 that personal documents were missing from his vehicle. The man was reportedly unsure of when they were taken but noticed they were missing the day the report was due.
Other incidents
- A Pottersville Road resident reported at 11:06 p.m., Wednesday, May 23 that someone was fraudulently using his debit card and took some of his tools. The matter is under investigation.
- Officers responded to West Main Road for a report of an erratic driver. Police reportedly found and stopped the vehicle in question. The driver said she was distracted and swerved. No action was taken.
- A resident came to the station to deliver a checkbook found at a local business. Police contacted the owner, who came and picked it up.
